A big Chunk of SE Queensland and NSW in Oz got flooded by the remnants of a cyclone earlier this week.
I notice Rob (Cosmic Bilby) hasn't posted for a few days. He lives up there.
To all of our mates in that area I hope you are doing ok.
Let us know how your doing! Looks pretty bad on the news.

He had an archery tournament over the weekend, but it was called off after the first day. I think I last spotted him on Monday. He's in Crows Nest. It has apparently been a bit swampy, but I don't know anything more than that.

Bilby if you're ok, send up a flare/smoke signal/whatever.

I am also from the wonderful state of Queensland - but I live in the hills in the north west suburbs of Brisbane so while everything was wet for a few days no problem with flooding.
There was a bit of local flooding around Crows Nest but not as bad as some other areas.
cheers
David

Sounds like Colorado - drought, fire, then floods coming next.
Stay safe!

Locust plague was the year before last. We should be safe from them for awhile.
Fortunately Greg, there was only one Dum-Dum that managed to sneak it's way through customs. And I made certain to dispose of it as quickly as possibly so that there were no worries about it cross breeding with any of the natives.

Good work Ember.
Remembering that Cane Toads were actually introduced in order to eliminate a fairly minor moth(?) problem and now they are destroying everything in their path.
God knows what we would have had to introduce to get rid of the Dum Dums if they got out.
Ahh. It's the Australian way, get rid of a pest by introducing an even more damaging pest.
(I dont even want to think about the consequences of Hasslehoff getting out and breeding)
Glad to hear yoyu escaped unscathed DM
and that the Bilbys known to still be loitering around the traps.
