Listened to the Matra one more time........... whew, I need a smoke.... ;)

This is going back a llllong way but I recall 2 records (you know, those black, round, things....turntable....needle), anyway there was a neat track on the Grand Prix sountrack album of several cars going past and the other was the title track to Jan & Dean's Drag City opening with the sound of what sounds like a small block Chevy going through the traps. Yes, neither is up to todays sound quality but they are vintage and some of us remember when they were new!

BTW, loved the sound of the BRM passing the pits!

Some of my most treasured possessions from my youth are the Big Sounds of the Drags albums. They
rated right up there with the Beach Boys, Rip Chords, Jan and Dean and the Ventures.

Cool sounds.

Here a few years ago I linked to a slot car supplier that had a wav file that played on the home page. It was a wav of some dirt track roundy-rounders. LOVED listening to that wav file! Can't for the life of me find that site again. Any of you know what site I'm talking about?
