Saturday we were at the Targa 66 at Palm Beach Int'l Raceway managed by Brian Redman. Some great cars, both old and new!

Great pics! It's little cool here to have anything closely resembling that, matter of fact it's snowing as I type. :banana-rock:

Great. Hope they let you go unimpeded. Most track events open to the public run pace
cars at parade speeds. I like to take friends out for "white knuckle rides" when I can.

This isn't open to the public and you must have a car that meets current standards of the SCCA, VSRA, NASA and/or other accredited racing associations. Posting more pics to the album later today (I hope!).

Right. Some track event sponsors will allow spectators to run their cars, but they still
have to pass tech and be sports cars or race cars. Although I have taken my Mustang
out on the track, everything else I've run has been a race car, and usually only to take
friends out for a spin. But the event organizers always want more money, and that is
how the "track tour" sessions got started. Just as when I started vintage racing only
cars made before 1963 were allowed. Then, to increase entries, the cut-off was
extended to 1967, then 1974, and now anything is allowed. There are classes for
current ALMS/Rolex cars and NASCAR stockers.
