Seeing the #43 Wearing "Petty Blue" is Good!

Sitting here watching the Subway 400.

I remembered seeing the press release, but it really struck home today.

The #43 car is dressed in "Petty Blue".

Makes seeing that car just so easy once again!

Yeah its awesome hey. Apparently the #43 will be petty blue all year. Its a pity though the #43 is not a Dodge & STP sponsership. But straight Petty blue is just as good.

Hey, Richard started driving a Plymouth in 64. In 69 he drove for Ford, but Plymouth won him back with the Superbird in 1970. All "Petty Blue".

I'm just happy to see it back once again.

King Richard was always one of my favorites. I remember the year, the only year, they ran the drag car it went off the track and into the bleachers, not a pretty sight, thus ended their foray into drag racing. The following season they were back on the round tracks. :)

We tuned in yesterday, and the first thing I noticed was the Petty Blue Ford. That is great, along with with the GEN 6 cars that actually look like stockers, again.
Happy to see Cousin Carl break the losing streak, too.

I loved the old "stock cars". The newer cars, not a fan. The makers have no inspiration to design street cars that could be bought by the teams and turned into race cars. It's now all cookie cutter cars with different stickers on them, equal engines, etc.. I wish they would have just left it alone, but that's progress I guess. :)
