Starting in South Park, we saw some familiar faces:

The beginning trail up to Mt. Bross goes through a bristle cone forest:

On the way up there are numerous mines - including this one completely full of ice and snow...no looking for gold in there today!

And when you get to the top at over 14,100 feet - it is breathtaking!

My sister took a picture of me in a wimpy spot:

A mining mill - in the distance up the hill behind it you can see the bucket tram they used to haul the ore down - pretty awesome technology for the time!

Some of the beautiful wildflowers on the way:

A view from the North London Mine in Mosquito Pass:

The North London Mine:

One of the tram motors - Ingersol Rand built this one.

Just about to leave the mine:

The Jeep was FLAWLESS on the trip. I watched 2 vehicles give up on Mosquito due to ground clearance...my new AEV lift was excellent. It was comfortable, handled extremely well, and I averaged 19.5 MPG from my house, to Mt. Bross, up Mosquito, and back home. At the end of the trail, I simply put it back into 2H and drove home. Handles like a sports car on pavement too.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed a few of the pics we took.
