That is just too cool. I think I see a Mini buildup in my future!

Well done for finding these video clips, Jeremy.

They just perfectly show the spirit of Autograss.

Note the standing start line-up, the fact that they go round in the "wrong" direction, and the really tiny track!

I think you could fit a 4-laner on an 8x4. Because it's just Minis, the lane spacing could be quite small - and I wondered about carving an undulating track out of a sheet of extruded plastic insulation board.

(. . . so many projects . . . so little time ) (in general, I hasten to say - not just me in particular!)

David.

That is just cool! Now you all know why I like the Mini's so well. They are very versatile cars, everything from basic transportation to autograss racing and everything in between. In 1/32 difficult to work on, but a lot of fun when you get them to run and handle well. :D

I love it. I've been considering a small oval to set up when the guys are here, so there are two tracks going at once. I could easily make a Mini Autograss track and lay it across my table saw and outfeed table. I even have an old Pyramid power supply I haven't used in years that can come out of retirement. If I can build it lightweight enough, it can roll under the big track and be lifted onto the table saw to set up in minutes after the guys arrive. I can't believe it. I'm planning another track. What's wrong with me?

I gotta say, its tempting to just whip one out, since I have all the tools out on the track right now. I even have a spare slab of MDF to play with. Tempting... I could go ahead and make the cars and get ahead that way, though. This is going to be fun. I predict another HRW proxy craze! Limited traction, lots of squeezes in the turns, one end banked, one end flat or even fallaway- oh baby! this is going to be nuts.

I'm debating whether or not to do one of these, (one who am I kidding) or not. They sure are neat. Too awesome. :)

Well, you know I like this. :)

I need a track, too -- an autograss track in the back yard so I can go play!
