What the heck is LSU doing playing Kent State? How long are we the people going to put up with this obvious gambling-oriented garbage BCS? Is this the best we can do for ourselves? Check on your representative's and senator's voting record. Did your people vote in the ridiculous Congressional Committee that established this crap against our will? Now there are commercials during the game to get people involved in fantasy football gambling- good grief! How did this happen?

As far as I'm concerned, let the Native Americans operate all the degenerate gambling parlor garbage they want, I just don't care- but college football should be what it was, with reasonable regional conferences and a limited number of Bowl Games, not just anything some corporation comes up with- the Chicken Bowl? the Chemical Bowl? the BeefO'Brady Bowl? the Pinstripe Bowl? What's the criterion for the 29th and 30th ranked teams to be invited to a Nobody Knows Who You Are Bowl? How about the Silly Bowl and all the players have feathers on their helmets and the field is made of a pool of maple syrup? If they did it, I'm sure there would be odds posted for it. Pass the butter.

Gave up watching stick n ball years ago. a high school around here relocated a family to their district so their functionally illiterate son could play on their team. Nice house, two cars to drive. When caught, they said that the parochial catholic school could recruit from all over the city so it wasn't fair. Same year had two kids drop out on the field from heat exhaustion, one passed away. That was it for me.

I only have two words to say.....ROLL TIDE!

Just be thankful the gambling gangsters haven't colonised slot car racing.

Isn't college football the last, most visible vestige of slavery? How much does a college coach make? How much money do these kids bring in to their schools? And if you buy a player a steak dinner as a reward you have violated NCAA rules. Of course when a kid blows out his knee (or worse) he is thrown away like a used Kleenex. Sorry if I have stepped on anybody's toes but the NFL should finance its own farm system, like baseball does.

What I get a kick out of, is when some powerhouse College team plays some College that would have a difficult time defeating a really talented High School team.And the final score is something like,82-3 :roll: .Who schedules that lopsided match-up??? :doh:

Its for gamblers to p*ss their families' money away on. That's the reason there is a BCS with all these ridiculous out of conference games that have no bearing on anything.

This is why I've been removing college and pro sports from my life. They have a funny smell about them, so I really haven't watched much in the last 20 years.

I like college basketball but not football. Too many conference changes over the last few years have ruined it for me. Oddly enough I like pro football but not pro basketball. Baseball I don't bother with all the controversy going on, no to tennis, cycling, ice skating etc...Give me some good old road racing and I'm happy. :)
