Seriously, Coight (Glen Robbins), is available here on DVD if you got your DVD player before the US allowed the "regional limitation" BS to become law. (Its going to take generations to straighten out this crap.) The region-free DVD players will play them just fine. I still haven't seen the movie though.

My friend from South Africa spread some on a piece of home made bread for me many years ago, and I liked it so much I looked for and found some I could buy to have at home. YEEEEEECCCCGGGHHHHH! I put waay too much on some storebought bread and discovered something that while not actually poisonous, is even more awful than Swiss chard or Brussel sprouts, or even rhubarb!

It's the best thing in the world for a hangover, a little bit on toast fixes it right up.

Even better is just before you go to bed, after a few too many cold ones, eat a teaspoon of it. If you can manage to get it down and keep it there, you will wake up the next day feeling as good as gold.

Honestly it really works.

Vegemite is one of those things that can be ignored for months at a tie and then suddenly there is nothing else that will do on the morning toast. Vegemite sandwiches go really well with champagne. Yeah, I know...classy. But we were having party to celebrate the neutralisation of some Pommy friends and it seemed appropriate at the time.

I grew up eating vegemite on toast. Vegemite not Marmite, OK?
I still knock some back from time to time but never a spoonful at a time, just a smear over the butter on the cold toast.

Ahh... Munter has let the secret out of the bag. Cold crisp toast, a dose of good, cold butter and a smear of the black stuff.

Cold toast? So you guys like your toast cold & not hot? Hot toast for me, butter melted in & a tiny bit vegemite. I very rarely have vegemite on toast but usually if I have it, it is a late night snack. A friend of mine loves his vegemite but only on cold toast. He does not like butter melted in.

My kids love vegemite. They just love the stuff as much as tomato sauce.

I think being introduced to it as a very young kid helps a lot. Really young kids enjoy some big tastes. I've seen a 14 month old baby munching through a lemon in much the same way as a 5 year old munches lollies...errr... sorry candy.

cold crunchy toast - with hard butter on it - the best in fact I might have one now :)

but I also have it on hot toast with melted butter, on Sao biscuits and Rivitas, my kids love tiger toast - which was toast with vegemite and melted cheese strips on it - hands down breakfast winner when they were little

Oh yeah, Marmite. I still think its a torture method. Vegemite isn't anything like that bad.

I'm still waiting for some further definition about the "neutralisation of some Pommy friends" thing. I have Brit friends, and some fit the Pommy moniker, high tea, invented basically everything, etc, but I have to know... what do you mean by "neutralization", Ember?
