Hey Everyone
Here's a good one!
I ordered some parts to my place here in Canada from Livonia MI.
Finally giving in and getting my own paypal account.
This gave me the track # and all.
SO, i thought it might be cool to watch the travel of my parcel.
On the 15th it's in Livonia Mi.
On the 18th it's in Atlanta Ga.
On the 22nd it's in Miami Fl. :o
I'm pretty sure the way to Canada is not through Florida ! :roll:
A call to USPS was no good, she said,maybe,possible,not sure.
The track # has checked out at the purchase location.
And my mail address checks out also.
A email also sent out to Livonia (second day now with no reply)
This has been about as much FUN as watching paint dry :violence-smack:

It isn't just USPS. My UPS package from Pennsylvania went to Toledo, Ohio, then Opalaka, Fla, then to me in Virginia. The vendor took 6 days to bother to send it, then all this nonsense happened to it. It arrived here (in remarkably good shape), a full ten days late. The box weighed a lot more than the merchandise, but it still weighed less than a business letter, and it cost $4 to ship, taking 16 days total from purchase to delivery of less than 1/4 ounce of tiny copper parts. That's another reason I'm getting out of HO.

Livonia -- Professor Motor?

I had a similar experience when I won an auction on eBay for a pocket knife which was sent via UPS. It left Phoenix, AZ went to Louisville, KY, Evansville, IN, Santa Clara, CA, Albuquerque, NM, back to Louisville, KY, then finally back to Evansville, IN and delivered. 14 days in all. The seller and I were in contact with one another just wondering where it would go next. We both thought it was ridiculous but kind of funny to. Now that's what I call a well traveled knife. :)

Don't feel like your on your own. I order stuff from Uk and it's usually here (West Australia) in 3 to 4 working days. Order from the US sometimes about 5or 6 working days, but I've ordered stuff from the East and it's taken 10 working days. I can only summarise that the overseas stuff comes by plane so it's straight to Perth, but items from Melbourne or Sydney comes by truck (or is stuffed into the pouch of a one legged Kangaroo).

Funny thing is my Dad used to collect stamps and he had an Envelope with a Christmas card in it that was posted somewhen around the turn of the last century, it was posted in Scotland on Christmas Eve and delivered to Dorset in the South of England on Christmas Day !!!

Just seems like something is wrong.
I will call ,as you suggested.
Just didn't want to jump the gun.
Mail order is the only way I can get the slot items needed as the hobby shop
in my area sold out to another place a few hours drive away.
I guess i need more patience.
I thought the move to paypal would make the the mail order stuff less painfull

If you can still track it, all is not lost.
When the tracking goes cold or shows up as delivered and theres no sign of it, then you need to panic.

It's seriously frustrating I know, but having said that - all of the slot cars and parts I've ever ordered or sent have always turned up eventually, except once, a kit from France just disappeared for ever, never actually left France I suspect.
But that's one in hundreds, hang in there. You know the old saying "rain or sleet or snow...." the postman will get through, He's just going via Florida. Hope it shows up soon.

Professor Motor is usually reliable, but they do make mistakes. I am going to contact them about an NSR body kit they were supposed to replace because the one I received was broken. Never received another body kit and that was back in June. Even though they claim it was shipped, I never received it. This ought to be interesting. :)

Just spoke to Professor motor.
Everything is in order and beyond our control.
Just gotta wait and wait and wait.
I'm thinking next time,I'll use a homing pigeon. :angry-tappingfoot:

i ship a lot of parcels using the usps service. occasionally a problem does occur but most of the time they are pretty good. shipping to canada though can be tricky.. sometimes the service in canada can be really slow. those guys do not know the definition of "fragile". then there is that dreaded customs office... they can sit on it for quite a while.

left after 2 days and is back up north at the Canadian border :roll:
