That was cool! I don't think I could have ran a car with that type of controller. They won some nice prizes too. 8-)

It wasn't that hard to use the little steering wheels. I used to set the speed just a bit faster than what the track could stand, then use the brake button to intermittently brake just ahead of the turns. It wasn't hard to use them like a trigger, either. My first set was a Stirling Moss ThunderJet 500 Figure Eight with a red '62 Fairlane, and a gray '62 Falcon. We moved 6 times after I got it, and one of them was out of the country. By 2002, 40 years later, I only had the body of the gray Falcon and 2 turn tracks left, but I started going to shows and stuff, and I have the set again now.
