I've always wanted to build a giant, backyard slot car track with cars about twice that size. Tom is one step ahead. OK, two steps. :)

Can you get a model aeroplane engine small enough to go in a 1/24 car?
Maybe you could then use a servo operated by the slot track voltage to control the throttle,and get the same effect - but controllable.
Come on HRW engineers,let's see what you can do.

David, they used to make a Bee motor that was .020 or something like that, and it would easily fit in a 1/24, but the heat would be a big problem. A big sedan would start running great and slowly deform going around the track, and return to the starting line looking like an LMP.
