Great pictures, love the hummingbird though and I don't think I have ever seen one in a stationary position like that before.

Very, very nice. One of these days I'll have to sit down and actually learn what to do with a camera, rather than bumble along like I do...

Some nice shots, SS. Photographing slots is almost as much fun as building and running them. While I do it as a means of sharing what I have built and hopefully inspiring others as they have done for me, I also use close-ups to determine what works, what's out of scale and generally pick up things not immediately visible to the human eye. It can be both discouraging and gratifying.

Absolutely phenomenal photography! Your shots rival those of the press-release photos that the manufactures send out.
On second thought, yours are better. Hands down. Great eye! :handgestures-thumbup:

Thanks guys: you're making me blush!
And of course I always notice the dirt on the cars AFTER the shots! Typical case in point would be all the urethane tyre specks on the exhaust manifold of the Lotus 49.
And BTW all the cars pictured are in regular racing use: no shelf queens. The non-original urethane tyres sans any logos on them is probably a give-away of this! And the poor Lola in the last pic suffered some pretty heavy abuse in the racing on the previous Friday's racing: had to glue back all the wings on it.... We find open wheel racing just naturally tends to be a bit of a war zone: you just touch tyres and someone goes flying!
