Hey all..

I am so happy to report that I just got off the phone with the man himself..

He was discharged on Friday and is at home regaining his strength.
A little horse from having a breathing tube for a couple weeks but he was in good
spirits and seemed to be doing really well.

He said he had to have 3 surgeries to get everything right, and he's got a
pacemaker now.. He's still a little too weak to sit at the computer but he said
to tell everyone thanks for the well wishes and that "The high plains Clifster" will
be back in the saddle soon!


Cliff when you read this, it was great to hear your voice..so glad you are recovering.
Can't wait to rub fenders again soon!

Don't forget to tell him he's really got to keep away from neodymium magnets now - or at least 2 feet away ! (they can bugger up pacemakers).

And what about Mrs. Cliff - wasn't she in hospital, too?

I talked to her briefly before talking to Cliff and she sounded fine~

On behalf of my Wife and I,we would like to share our deepest appreciation to the ENTIRE worldwide HRW community for all the prayers kind words and well- wishes. My Wifes' problem stems for her troubles with diabetes and the way it has affected her feet and legs.Not to be outdone.... I went with quadruple by - pass.They operated on me for a total of 24 HRS. At one point my heart completly stopped!! They frantically masseged back to life. I was in a medicall induced coma for two weeks and in another part of ICU for another two weeks. I was transferred to a recovery and physical therapy floor and I was discharged a week later. To close...We both want to wish the ENTIRE HRW family Merry Christmas and a safe healthy Happy New Year. Once again....Thank you all ssssoooo much. Cliff and Olive Mathewson.
