With the new rules you have the fastest 36 cars make the field. Right now it's 35. So we have 1 less position to give out as a provisional.
Actually there is only a single provsional under the new rules.
So we have 36 of the fastest and a single provsional. What happens to the other 6 spots? Well those go to the teams with the most points that did not get in under the fastest time.
So, I'm thinking the name has been changed, but the games still the same.
