Well I checked the forum rules, and I think, this fits.
For the first time in 8 yrs our Tavel Trailer has been invaded by MICE,!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I have always put soap Irish spring all over the inside, and used bounce fabric softner sheets, and never had an issue.
so for, the past 2 weeks I have had to hone my hunting and tracking skills to get rid of these little non paying renters.
I found their nests, yup made right in the bounce sheets, so much for, that idea.
I found their food supply , yep fartin bubbles with an irish accent,
Now swmbo my darling girl and I have been cleaning and cleaning till we both have blisters.
I'm pretty sure that the traps and strategic placement of a couple of moth balls have forced them out
one way or another. With or without their boots on.
So I am really hoping some of you good folk have some remedies you can suggest to help me avoid this same problem over next Winter.

It will make you feel sorry for them, but there's nothing as effective as glue traps in their pathways. Rodents have no bladders. Every time a rodent takes a step, a squirt of urine comes out. They follow the urine trails to get to the food.

When I was searching around for a method of rodent proofing papier machete someone suggested the addition of a strong pine based cleaner to the mix. I wonder if it would assist your problem for winter storage. I don't mean the papier machete, but the pine.

The best thing to do is to keep them out. They are likely getting in through plumbing or electrical entrance points. Use a little expanding foam to fill up the gaps. Remember, all they need is a hole about the size of a dime to get in.

Yep. I have a 10 year old 4 pound tiny female and her son, a huge, 24 pound 9 year old, both fixed. They are equally merciless and agressive, to rodents at least. I can't keep them off my lap most opf the time. Every day in the summer, they leave a vole, sometimes two, at the back door. Voles are tailless miniature mouse versions of field mice. They move into old mole tunnels and gobble up the roots of grassy plants.

I used those pest control plugins in my RV for years and never saw or had mice problems after that. They emit a clicking noise at random times and it drives the rodents crazy...they seemed to work for me..try em?!
