It's such an iconic road that even petrolheads in the UK know about it.
Hasn't anyone done a guidebook for those that want to trace the route?
Perhaps you could write it,David, with the help of HRW members' illustrations.Maybe a share of the profits could boost the funds of HRW.
David.

Route 66 has got to be one of, if not THE, most famous road in the world. Didn't realise so much of it was gone.

Too cool! We did a bunch of miles on what is left of it in Arizona in 2009. We even got pictures of one of the Wigwam Motels there. Their sign says "Have you slept in a Wigwam lately?"
Harry also took Lee and I out on a few local parts near HRW HQ.

My wife went all the way from Chicago to reservations in New Mexico (Acoma), and Arizona (Laguna), working with a group from Chicago to build schools and clinics on the res. She made the trip twice, a year apart, and they drove Route 66 all the way both times.

Drove across the USA last year in our ex-2002 Volkswagen eurocamper Winnebago Vista class C RV. After camping at the Grand Canyon was a mandatory stop on Route 66. I'll post up some photos.
