Well dang it. At least it missed the slot car collection.

At least the house was spared, not a scratch. I think the car is a total loss as the A pillar on the drivers side is all bent and the windshield is broke. That kind of messes up the integrity of the roof. I'll get some pics up later. I definitely won't be going anywhere, at least not in that car. :lol:

Oh shucks, that's no fun at all. Glad you are ok and nobody injured. Keep us updated on the car, yes agree, A pillar integrity is very important. On the positive side, if the car is deemed a total loss, this would give you the opportunity to purchase and drive something totally different.

I have so many trees at our house, just cut down a big Maple in our front yard two weeks ago with my Stihl saw, and I'm afraid that even if I cut down every single tree in my yard there still would be too many on the all the other properties next door. We had a big arse storm this week blow through and thankfully all trees standing. Still worries me every storm... We have huge 60' tall eastern white fir, monster maples, hemlock, scotch pines, occasional cherry and silly poplars. I only cut and burn the maple though. Just too much work, best option is to change properties, location and house—move.

I know how you feel. My Alfa Romeo was only two weeks old when it was rear-ended while I was
stopped at a traffic light. The other driver was an unlicenced 15 year old girl who had taken her
brother's car for a joy ride while he was away on vacation. She had never driven before and had
no idea how. The rear of the Alfa was folded under and the car should have been totaled, but the
insurance said it was too new, so they insisted on fixing it. The car was tied up for nine months
while parts filtered in from Italy. And the insurance, Allstate, would not pay for a rental car that
long because they said it was my fault for driving such a rare car.

Well the insurance is going to fix it. It has between $9500-10000 worth of damage which is about 50% of the value of the car. They won't total it until in reaches 70%. Every panel on it has damage of some form, except the passenger side door and that could potentially change once they look it over under different lighting. The work will take approximately 3 weeks. I will get a rental car at $25 a day, which the insurance will pay up to $600 or 24 days, kind of cuts it close time wise. Now for the branch clean up and the fence repair. The fun just never ends. :mrgreen:

Well the total for repairs is at$9800 and that could change. It goes in for repairs the 28th and will be there for approx. 3-4 weeks, but in the meantime I put a deposit on a 2013 Abarth convertible. It was $8000 off list just couldn't hardly pass on that. :D

So, you will finish up with his and hers out of this?

Ken, glad you've got it all settled. I thought the 500's were selling well - I'm amazed they put that kind of money on the hood!

David, it was more than the hood. The A pillar is messed up and the windshield is broke, both headlights are scratched beyond repair, left front turn signal is broke, front fascia is scratched and may be replaced depending on internal damages, driver side mirror completely gone, dents and scratches in the driver side door, scratches on left rear quarter panel, etc., etc. The only thing not was the left rear taillight, and the passenger side mirror. Otherwise everything has some form of damage. The body shop has assured me it will be repainted. There's even little dents in the roof. What a mess. :(
