Postby legrandnormand » Sun Jul 27, 2014 8:56 am

Today, the Hungarian GP was won by Ricardo (Red Bull); Alonso (Ferrari) and Hamilton (Mercedes) followed. The next GP will be in Belgium in about one month.
So far in the championship, after 11 GP:
Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) has 202 points
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) has 191 points
Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) has 131 points

Best season I can remember. :) Today's race was just unreal. Incredible driving from the 3 guys on the podium, especially Hamilton getting on the podium after starting from pit lane.

Danny is getting quite a reputation for a never say die attitude. It's great to watch a young man with such maturity. I'm afraid I couldn't stay awake and missed the finish. But I recall a call Ricciardo made to the pits around lap 33 to say "Hey guys, I can win this."

Hi John.
I agree about the sterility of F1 in past seasons.
It always seemed to be a race for 2nd place.
If it wasn't Schumi , It was Vettel.
This year , expecially starting with Canada's GP, it has been some of the best racing I have seen in years. Usually comes down to the last couple of laps and 5 in the thick of it.
I hope you do watch the recorded race. It has in my opinion changed for the better.
Really good , close , and no holds barred racing.
Let me know what you think.
Now back to the dungeon I go.lol

After getting a bit bored with the same result over and over again, we found the last two races to be anything but boring. It was exciting to watch how Hamilton almost won from the pit lane, something still never done, and the cameras thought so too, as there was more time spent watching Lewis than the rest. Of course when the camera can get the top four or five in one shot, that is exciting.
