We and the 3 or 4 adjoining properties don't allow hunting (not that I'm against it but when you have horses and hunters in the same area....) and as a result we have a herd that averages 15-25. Sometimes we'll have them be brave enough to come way up into the yard.....we have 2 apple trees.

One thing about bow hunting. You wouldn't even know I was there. :D

Around here if you have apple trees you are likely to get bears. I remember a few years ago looking out the window and there was a black bear sitting right up in the crown of the tree. I knocked on the window and hollered, but he just kept munching. By morning the tree was stripped. Then I had to go out and lift up piles of poop from the lawn.

Gee... All I get are lorikeets and possums.
