Big bird found some flak on the return trip, eh? It was a cold trip back to base, that's for sure.
It reminds me of playing in the Memphis Belle when I was a boy, and my first boss's story about being trapped in the belly turret that couldn't be sucked in when only one of the mains came down.

That looks great! Put it on display, not back in the box! I used to build a bunch of diorama's in 1/25. Mostly rotten cars. Still got them.

You aren't kiddin' Sarge, about how old that kit is. My son was given a dust-covered old model made by a friend who was moving away back in 1984. It was that one. I know I saw that plane on his workbench around 1977 or so.
By the way, is there a market in old kits? I have some large scale Testors WWII fighters I'll never build. There's a stack of them, at least a half dozen.

Ahhhhh.... Sig's Mexican airfield. I figured someone would beat me to it. I had the fun of watching him create it (from a distance that is). Even got to be sounding board for a few of his crazier ideas. The aircraft are mainly 1/48 from memory. He originally wanted to do a big rotting bomber to be driven through, but any of the 1/32 aircraft dominated the cars too much.
I don't think Sig has been doing slots for the last couple of years. He was concentrating more on his steel furniture but with the Spanish market so depressed he's been doing some mad auto resto work in the hopes of keeping some cashflow and the taverna roof over the family's head.
