Thinking about slots

What is available in prewar roadsters in 1:43 scale?
Some where on the Internet I saw a small slot car track based on roadsters racing in the country side but can not find it again. any suggestions to links of this type of layout would be appreciated.
I'm a 52 year old model railroader. I've been modeling in eastern US logging N scale, 1:160, for years. I had HO trains and slotcars in the late sixties and early seventies.
I'm planning on building a 1:48 scale model railroad, a shelf switching layout based a water front, could be US or British themed. I'm exploring the possibilities of adding a 1:43 scale slot track to run prewar roadsters.
When I told the wife the next layout may have slot cars she got a big grin!

Welcome to the forum! the 1/43 guys should chime in soon. im not sure what is out there, but you can always scratch build some roadsters. i recomend getting a carrera go track to start with. glad you are here many great members full of knowledge here!

Welcome. I could be wrong, but the layout to which you refer is quite possibly Whitworth Nut's and it's 1/32 scale.

Whitworth Nut's layout is one.
I found the other layout again, Midford Combe Circuit.
I could go with either scale. Using 1\32 would just cause my 1\48 trains to be modified into 1\32 scale narrow gauge. I'm not sure what that would make the scale track gauge.

Ahh... That is BeeJay7 (Alan Tadd). Also 1/32. He's given up slotting in favour of model boating.

Kind of like me giving up trains.
I'm going to go with routed MDF track.
I guess I will be building in 1/32. Using Alan's plan as an example, it would fit my space nicely. I could extend the length a little bit. I'm thinking a street circuit. I would like to incorporate a small wooden bridge and possibly some gravel streets.
It would be best to scratch the railway idea and stick strictly with slots.
I swung by Ollie's today and picked up a pair of Green Hornet cars for in expensive starters and eventual track testing.

I just bought a old brass locomotive and tender the other day, and I'm in the process of redoing it. It was most likely a kit that wasn't assembled with the greatest of finesse, so it was strip the paint, take it all apart and resolder everything. :)
