Everybody I knew, as well as myself, used steel sheet metal tackle boxes a little bigger than a shoebox. Everybody bought a different color. By the time I saved up enough to buy mine, a sky blue was the best I could find. One guy hated his orange one so much he stripped it in a metal fabricator's shop and polished it brilliant silver with a lacquered finish over the bare metal. You want those huge wooden ones the grown men had in the 60s, filled with stuff that cost more than the cars our parents drove, right?

I can look at the DVDs I have of Car Model and Model Car Science to see if there's something there from the 60s.

Ah Speed and Sport in Lynwood California bringing back memories over 40 years ago I raced there as a kid, on an old Blue King where GLUE was king!
Looks like the box was from California?
