The sad thing is what I scrap - any drive under 250 gig gets scrapped. Ram chips under 1 gig are gone as are single core processor machines. I got some tooling and traded it for work on the house. A person threw away a perfectly working sawsall, a plunge router, and a 12" compound miter saw. The miter saw has a bend in the table that keeps it from cutting straight. I use it to cut up firewood. I have five flat panel monitors for when our club members need timing systems. Crazy world! Everything is disposable including family. Slot cars are a great way to connect with people. Last summer I saw one of my former students. She was with a little boy. I thought, "She has never been pregnant." She as a single woman adopted a little boy with physical problems. The parents didn't want to deal with it so they gave him up for adoption. I keep telling my son that she is the girl for him. She won't throw him away.
