Our Aussie friends will tell you the full story I'm sure, but it definitely isn't the size of a Torino. That's kinda the story on these wonderful cars. There's a reason they snarl around the track, occasionally collecting kangaroos- that ripping engine is in a rather lightweight body. I've got my eye on the red/gold one, too.

I always thought it was the same as the Mustang and Falcon that was here in the US. If you look at that hood real close, you can see the 71-73 Mach I. What made me jealous was they still had the Cleveland Engine option available there.

But a smaller, lighter car, right? I know that there is no way on earth that the Falcons at 1977 Bathurst were the weight and size of our overweight, waddly Torinos. The comparison to latter day Chargers or early Torinos is probably best. A comparison to early Roadrunners seems a lot better than anything, but the track is significantly narrower, and the wheelbase a bit shorter, from the look of them. But that Cleveland was an equalizer. I have some experience with Clevelands and Windsors, and the idea of a 451 Cleveland in a lightweight, well-suspensioned car has always been very interesting to me.

I seem to recall Ted posting some information about the XB Falcons when the first one was released. Not sure if I can remember where to find it, but I'll see if I can dig it up.
