NO INTERNET.....AAAGGGHHH!!!!

Postby TsgtRet » Sun Jan 18, 2015 8:52 pm

Our internet at home went down at noon today (right after I sent Harry a PM) and still hadn't come back up again when I left for work at 8:30. Amazing how attached even an old codger like me is to a convenience like this. No internet: no bill paying, no contact with the kids, no Netflix, no Amazon Prime and most importantly...NO HRW! Frontier was working on it and they said there were 23 in our area that were without. Patience is not one of my strong points :angry-tappingfoot: Hopefully it will be back up by the time I get home.

I'm very impatient too! Thank god for cell data on my iPad and two iPhones. One is for work so I spread the usage out between the three :)

In an emergency you might be able to use a computer at your local library. Recently AT&T sold its Connecticut U-verse business to Frontier and the transition was somewhat painful. People lost their phone, TV or Internet service for a few hours or a few days. You were not able to get through to customer service unless you waited a long time. My old AT&T password would not work on the Frontier website and I could not get a new one without a PIN number. The PIN number was only available on my bill, but that was delayed by nearly a month. My Internet connection was spotty for a day or so. There are things that I could do on the AT&T site that are not available on the Frontier site, at least not as far as I can tell.

Rich that explains one of the things I've heard over the past 24 hours...."if you are a former AT&T Conn. U-verse user press 2". Internet is back up after 22 hours. Now we can pay bills, etc.
