I thought i should post a few pics of the wood routed track I created in my game room. I had previously built a small 15' x 3' track to save room for the pool table so I could do both. but after the building bug bit me i dismatled the lil track, sold the pool tabe and went all out.

This was the first track I made. I actually never took and pictures of it further on when it was running. It was boring, didn't run great for racing and in general it wasn't what I wanted. once I go the wife to agree to selling the pool table I began working with the local track owner on a design for the room.

After about 15 different designs and discussions with the Billy, the track owner I race at I settled on this design...

Then I built the table for the track and started routing sections to begin the build.

A little more routing and playing with elevations

This was a little further along when I had decided to make a cliff face on the right so I propped the end of the straight away higher. Once I hade these elevations I could measure the lest corner sections. I did this last because Billy said the geometry would change when I cut in the banking.

This was the cliff that got me thinking of the landscaping

Once the final piece was in and set with banking the fencing started going in.

Then came the first layer of paint.

Then I textured the paint and started adding guardrails
