Hello Johnny,
Thank you for sharing some early pictures of your track build. The fiberboard strips is a very creative approach to laying out your track and routing. Look forward to more pictures as the track build progresses.

Thats a great looking track Johnny, I bet you could pack those curves up and rent them out to guys, those are a great idea, and much more stable than a strip, if they are the right thickness you could route 2 lanes just mounting the router on either sides of the fixture
keep up the good work

That looks fantastic! I really like that method you've come up with. Anxious to see more progress when you're up for it.

First my apologies for not replying earlier, we have had internet issues here that lasted through the night.
Secondly, WOW outstanding work. It is great seeing this come to life. The design is just right for what you wanted.
Keep us posted :)

It looks terrific, John.
Some of us struggle to think inside the box, never mind outside. Have you got any pics showing the relative positions of strips and router when the strips are nailed in place?
David.

The fiber board strip idea I like it....
They would come in handy in making big modular track templates to reproduce track sections ...

Ah, the look of progress. Nothing like the smell of fresh cut MDF in the morning...smells like victory :)

Johnny, good to see your progress, sorry I havent been around much lately to see this before now. My track is outside in my garage with all kinds of high temps and humidity. No issues with the MDF and never sealed any of my tracks out there. The only issue I had was when using copper tape it always lifted from the temps and humidity but now with the braid I have no issues whatsoever. I say just paint it and continue on. :)

Oh I see, you must have a base plate guide bushing in the router....with the way you have those templates laid out...looking good...
