Found these and thought they would be great for scratch building some stadium lights for the tracks.

I would like to see how much light a 12 LED panel will throw. The panels could be mounted on a piece of 1/4 inch styrene tubing. I have built a 4 8000mcd LED stadium light that can illuminate a fairly large area.

Rich - I just used some strips for my led bridge and was pretty impressed with the amount of light they throw. This thread has me thinking about these again as I loved Gene's lights. Has it really been so long since he did those?

Yes, time flies.

I am buying some tubing today. I just can't do plastic. SOME guys (ahem) might nerf someone and send them flying :)
