artin 1:32 powerbases questions

Postby demether » Tue Jul 08, 2014 3:54 pm

Hi,

I"m preparing my new track (waiting for delivery), and I'm wondering if artin powerbases (1/32) are molded with the included track, or attached to it with screws ? Any pics would be appreciated (2 and 4 lanes). I need this info to see how I'll build my layout table support.

thanks

Thought I posted the Artin set reviews already, but here is the 4 lane power base.

But aren't you going to just hardwire the track instead of trying to use the power base? It's so much easier and more reliable.

thanks

You 're right I want to use the powerbases (the 4lanes for the oval, the 2 lanes for the inner road course) as extra track piece, not as powerbase. It's why I want to know if I can cut/remove the connectors box easily. My tracks will be wired to lab powersupply (8A) with XLR connectors, probably.

My mistake, Yes, it's molded but the bottom is removed. You can slice it off with a Dremel though easily enough. Did that many times.

Thanks

I almost finished the layout for the inner road course. I just need to order a few more track pieces, but in Germany this time ;)

TOday I have some work on my house roof, so if I don't fall this afternoon, I should continue the preparation work tommorow.
