Here is another diagram. On wire from the light switching relay coil goes to the minus side of your power supply and the other goes to pin 87a of the track power relay if you are using Trackmate. If you are using LEDs different colors operate at different voltages so you will need a dropping resistor in series with each LED. The diagram shows red LEDs on when the track power goes off, you can substitute yellow LEDs. The other LEDs would be green.

The yellow LED bulbs I use are these.

They will handle up to 16 volts without damage, and when wired through an automotive electronic flasher, they will flash when track power is off.

I use the whites and reds for lighting my cars too.

I visited the local Radio Shack store in search of 275-248 relays, and sadly the cupboard was bare. They also appear to have disappeared from what's left of the Radio Shack website.

Would one of the electronic masters please suggest a readily available substitute relay -- with part number and source, preferably. The Internet is awash with SPDT relays, but with my profound ignorance of relays and which pins to use for this application, I'm more than a little lost.
