And here we go!

This track deserves it. An icon of the oval racing hobby.

Your toy box is mailed and should be there early next week.

This will be a good one.

This is a good thing to show. You CAN change these traits with a little work.

Good luck SD on the upgrade...but personally I really like the look of the surface of your track....gnarly and grippy :auto-driving: :auto-driving: !!!

Dave, I used a random orbit sander on my former track to knock the tops off the ripples. The difference is amazing. Go for it. 220 is the right grit. If you go finer, its useless, if you go coarser, you groove it. If you asked me what to do, I would have told you exactly what you did! Go, man, go!

Cool, looking forward to see the update to braid. Not ready to do it until I get some time on my 4 x 8 oval. Maybe when the larger road circuit starts to form..... (evil laugh)

Looks good! Now, stop goofing off and get it done...T-Minus 4 months and counting until I run on that sucker! I want grooves rubbered in by that time!

Looking good Dave, you sure dont waste time spinning your wheels.
I am really interested to see the braid application. I have thought about it many times myself.
Good luck as you progress, and you have my attention still.

Just in case you get excited and forget... cover everything or get it out of the room or you'll think dusting is a new career! And I'm sure you still have a respirator mask from your painting days... Go get 'em!

Looking good, Dave. Do I hear a router getting warmed up in the background?

Dave I think you are slowly converting me to a braid boy. You make it look pretty simple yet I know it isn't. Ever been to Canada Dave lol.

Bob, It truly is that simple. Once you set your depth, let the router follow the slot and let'r eat :)

In fact, Dave and I talked tonight and I admitted that I would rather braid than lay tape ANY day of the week.

Looking good Mr. Shotgun!
