Filler

For the past several months I been picking away at putting a full set of inside and outside hardboard borders around my 2 lane Carrera Go road course.

I installed the last piece yesterday. As this is my first attempt at modelling it has been a long arduous task to say the least and I certainly have learned a lot of what not to do. I would now like to paint the track, but would first like to fill in the gaps and blend and smooth the joins. What sort of filler should I be looking at? Looking for ease of use, accessibility, durability, etc.

Thanks
Randy

Hi Randy,that looks great..
Durham's is what we have used in the past.Easy to use ,sets pretty quick and isn't that expensive..
What did you use for your borders?

Thanks Rusty. I used 1/4" hardboard (masonite). Had to do a lot of underscoring for the highbanks and their approach's and exits.

I've never used Durhams, I usually use Bondo on my routing and construction corrections. Bondo would probably overkill for your application, dry wall joint compound may work very well since your painting over top. BTW, that's one great looking GO 143 track!
