Thought I would share these with the scenery folks.
Got these on clearance at wall mart. They are called project blocks by a company called florafoam. they are supposed to be for buildings, and I guess they would make great retaining walls too, But they are perfect scale hay bales for 1/32 tracks.
they come in a beige color, but they paint up well in a hay color. Great for Oval tracks , and vintage road courses. They come 300 to a box, so there are plenty!

Great scenery idea!
May have to pick some up and cut them down to Ho scale for my 4 lane oval I'm about to build in Ho.
Thanks for the heads up!

Shotgun I'm going to have to get a box of these and intermix them with resin ones......a little variety never hurt!
Thanks Bob!

Jeff, the ones you are using are great, I would not change over to these. I have so many different versions of hay bales, I have no continuity in size or shape. I must admit that these foam blocks look about as close as you can get to a bale of hay,and they are all the same. very light, and stiff. and easy to paint. I looked them up on line, and they run about $20 when not on clearance. I guess that's not to bad for three hundred of them!

Are you folks actually finding these in your local Walmarts, or having to buy online and pickup at the store? I can't tell if either of the nearby stores have these in stock or not.
