So about a week or so ago I go into my local train hobby shop as there is no local slot car shop to get some brass and wire that I need. I am talking to the owner. He had told me the last time I was in he is thinking about getting into slots(fingers crossed) and looking for a new building so he can have more room for his trains and possibly add slots and commercial track. Anyway he hasn't found anything affordable as of yet. So as he is totaling my tab. I look around and on a cart sits this mill and a small lathe that some Doctor had brought in for them to sell. Guess Doc only used them a few times also. Immediately my eyes get as big saucers. He begins to tell me the deal with it and why Doc is getting rid of it and how much he wants for it all. When he told the price for just the mill I begin to drool. Less than half the price of a new setup. SOLD! Then to top it off I go pick it up today and the owner gives me the step clamps. Someone had given them to him and he couldn't use them cause they were to small for his setup. Bonus... :happy-partydance: I don't normally get this lucky usually it's a day late and a dollar short. Looks like I'm building another bench this weekend. :)

Now do you want the custom orders I have in alphabetical order? 1-100? :)
Seriously though, what is thatr first project you have in mind?

Man, that's great. You are going to love that thing. And those are the smallest step block clamps I've ever seen. I can think of a lot of stuff those could handle. Proxxon is a name I know, so I may be able to find some like them.

I don't remember what brand it was Dennis. It maybe was about two feet long and red is all I can tell ya. He wanted four hundred for it. Was going to look at it again today but I didn't see it in there.

Well didn't get the Maverick finished up. But I did manage to finish up (almost) the bench for drill press/mill. Put some paint and top along with the back on. Sides on tomorrow. Just trying to use up some old mdf laying around. Need to get a cheap 4' fluorescent light to hang. Slow but sure coming together.

Lovely work space Rusty, organised, well lit and no doubt well equipped.
Hey, I vacuumed the floor of my workshop today making some effort to be tidy.
