It says this is powered by AA batteries - does it work well with NIMH batteries?
The price is much lower than the former 7.2V 1.3Ah Dremel Stylus model. (4xAA NIMH would be just under 1 Ah) Is a "pistol grip" attachment available? I guess as a last resort you could use the tool to "whittle" one, and glue/clamp it on.

Works fine on rechargeables Have had one for several years and still going strong.
No pistol grip that I know of, I don't care for them myself. I will get another at this price for the old pit box.

I live an hour away from the nearest Menards which is in Sedalia Mo. ...might be a model change ,Walmart has the 7300 ( looks the same except gray) for $24 bucks....

Junior brought me one this weekend and it's just what I wanted, thanks sir.
Yes, there are different colors. I bought one a couple years back at Lowe's around Halloween. It was a clear orange casing and they labeled it a "Pumpkin Carver" kit. I gave it to my daughter, same thing as this, just different color.
