We open at 9am and have practice till 1pm to give people track time. We help people with their cars and even have loaner cars if needed. The worst case is you race twice once in qualifying and one main. The big advantage is you get to race with people of the same experience level and have a chance to move up and race more.

There always some thing to do at the shop. We have 3 other tracks to race on, marshaling, picking on me, picking on Dave H about when he will route the new track.
buying slot cars and telling our wives they were prizes(you can only do this once a year or they will catch on), giving each other stupid nick names (Thug, Stig , Larry"the Dream "Weaver) ,watching racing videos(V8 super cars always a good watch), watching racing movies(grand prix Bluray best movie ever), eating foods our wives don't know about(oh chili cheese fries goodness), try to launch HO slot cars off the track and through and open door(tougher then you would think).

Been running the shop in Horseheads N.Y for 10Years this May with Dave Hendrickson(most marriages don't last that long) and have enjoy every minute of it.
