Posted: Mon May 07, 2018 8:42 amI am only recently familiar with slot racing in the Tampa area. There are several home club tracks with a good group of guys with nice tracks. There is also a commercial raceway in St. Petersburg that seems to be doing well though I have only visited but I did not race. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Posted: Mon May 07, 2018 9:37 amTampa area has a few tracks. I have been to a few. I always try to do some racing when I am in Florida. I will be watching to see if any other tracks pop up.

Posted: Mon May 07, 2018 7:48 pmThe "Race Place" in Holly Hill (next to Daytona) has a large tri-oval with an infield road course. They race 1/24th scale cars on Tuesdays and 1/32nd scale cars on Thursdays. HO on Saturday mornings. They are open only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. There are a couple of private 1/32 tracks in the vicinity, one is mine in DeBary between Deland and Sanford. I am here most every day except Thursday evenings. There used to be a group of guys that had 3 or 4 tracks in the area and they rotated among them. That was a couple years ago, and I'm not sure if they are still active. Health issues among members seem to have hit that group pretty hard. I visited one of the tracks a couple years back. There may be some of those guys still looking for a place to race.

They have HO, 1/32 and 1/24 covered. Good group of racers. We come up from Palm Beach County once or twice a month to run 1/32 cars and goof around on the big hill climb.
