Looks like a VERY fast track!

Not long ago I met a fellow who was telling me about his radio controlled airplane hobby. The kicker is that he has a wireless camera in the plane which is mounted to a servo. The camera sends the signal to his laptop, to which he has hooked up a virtual reality helmet. When he turns his head, the camera in the plane turns, giving him a view from his model's cockpit! (there are videos of this kind of set-up on youtube)

That got me thinking. I've seen videos like the one in this thread of in-car cameras in slot cars, but why couldn't someone do that very same set-up that the airplane guy had? Imagine a four lane track where the drivers didn't watch their cars from the sides of the track, but rather all had these helmets on, :geek: controlling based off of what they saw from the car's vantage point. That would be a heck of a gimmick for a commercial track to entice people in. (and perhaps cause a few folks to loose their lunches)
