I know Belleview is a small town, but after looking at the map, I can NOT find a Buzzard Bay anywhere.

PM me with an address so I can find my way.

Now for all the 1:32 racers here in Florida, I do believe it's time to "Gather" and gather large! I hope to see just about all the 1:32 racers and other racers at the event.

Fubar supports all the slot car racing in Florida that he can. I think it's time to show him as much support as we can garner.

I will be there. And I hope to bring lots of friends.

Going to be a fun "Open House" weekend. I hope you fill the place Larry, but watch out for that Marty guy.

Bill Pinch from The Raceway in Melbourne, Fl brought some neat 1/32 JK direct drive cars and let me drive one. They had sketchy brakes but handled sweet. After the races, Larry and Pete showed us lots of different cars and let us run their stuff - great host and cool digs! Thanks Marty for running next to me for a few laps and helping me with timing that darn oval...then he took off and left me in the dust! Got the chance to meet Charlie from Jax, Roger the local track star, Eddie the fast racing HO guy, and Danny with his neighbors kid. Sorry if i didn't mention you, there were a lot of buzzards circling the track. :banana-gotpics:

Without a doubt, there were more racers there than you could shake a controller at! Many of whom ran the old configuration, which was Scalextric track, but close to the same configuration.

Being one of the "old buzzards" in attendance, I seem to remember one of the Model Car Racing of America, producers of fine slot car tracks, had one model that was named "The Windsor". Larry Granger's track reminds me of that track. It's fast, just enough so to sucker you in. It's easy, just enough to sucker you in. You can pick up the rhythm of the track pretty quick, but to truly have fast laps times, you need to do what Larry Granger does, put lots of laps on the track.

I must say that having the Carrera track in place of the Scalextric is a definite upgrade. At least it is in my opinion, which at times is not that humble. The slot width replicates that of a routed track and you can run commercial slot racing guide flags. Much lower cost than the 1:32 guide flags. I think it's a great place to race and I'm looking to attend a few races over there.

What a super job put on my Larry & Diane. Lots of munchies, drinks and one fantastic event. Thanks to the both of your for doing an outstanding job!
