Fubar Motorsports,
I do not think my body would handle it if the excitement for the day was any better than what it has been thus far!
The racing is simply outstanding. I can not remember when it was as excitingly intense, yet to awesomely enjoyable all at the same time.
Racing on Thunder Shores Raceway is so competitive. There is simply no time to take a pause during the race. It is a constant plan and execute during the whole race. The shortness of the straights keeps one from having an easy pass. All passing is tough and you must pick your spot and then wait for the other driver to make a mistake. Either that or try to "Banzai" a pass and that normally results in a trip to the wall.
Never in my mind did I think that racing slot cars on a small track would be so awesome. However I have found out that the racing is quite unique, the skill level is high and the results come to those that plan their race.
After finishing 9 races we sat down to a meatloaf, baked potato and string bean dinner. What an absolutely awesome day it was. If you've never tried short track racing on an oval, I strongly urge you to give it a try. Don't let your lack of cars prevent you from finding out what it is all about. Loaners are available. You participation is something we look forward to.

:text-goodpost: That was a whole lota racing in one event. I'll bet that meatloaf was demolished after all that excitement. :scared-eek:
:auto-layrubber: Is that a routed raceway?

Hi torque mutant, this is Linda Ross, Pete Ross's wife, he doesn't type. Yes the track is routed. He asked me to mention that you're invited along with anyone who is interested. Tell your friends. We would be happy to welcome you to Thunder Shores anytime. :text-welcomewave:

Pete, on your 57 ford vintage 1/25th looks just like the ticket for our new "Bomber" class. Can you tell me the chassis, tires size, and motor you run in your class? :text-thankyouyellow:

Torquemutant,
My friend, if you make the next race at Thunder Shores Raceway, you will start building a small oval. I hope you can make the trip.

:text-bravo: Lol. That meatloaf is just about gone. However there is always something cooking in the Ross house. Do join us. We will post the next date as soon as it is scheduled. You are welcome to join us at Buzzard Bay Raceway in Belleview. On Oct.5th. It is a beautiful road course. :auto-checkeredflag: Tell your friends!! Linda and Pete

Fubar,
First off, I am hoping all is well with Diane on Monday. That is more important than us having FUN!
