Seems we hear about all of the bad stuff so thought I would post this..Just received the Carrera Long Race Digital set.Been a while since I've had digital.This is a huge set and really seems well made with some nice extras. Wireless works perfect and really frees one up for racing..Forgot how fun it is to race against the ghost cars too..

The layout looks great! Nice use of space.

You would be the perfect candidate to write a slot car race set buyers guide. Over the years, it seems you have owned about every brand and scale of the available race sets. What would you say are your top three all time favorites?

We here at Lean To Raceway love digital Carrera racing! we are using 2 digital high bank Daytona sets wired together plus extra track making up a huge 4 lane tri- oval track, it sits on a 16'x28' table, nothing like 5-7 slot it, NSR cars running balls out plus a ghost car or two mixed in to make things happen quick! Congrats on your new digital track!

Rusty...2 years ago I bought that same kit so I could get back into slots after about 40yrs . Before I even took it out of the box I built an 8ft by 18ft table a bunch of track and a whole lot of Digital doodads and layed out an 82ft roadcourse . It turned into a sickness ..lol.. Now 34 cars later I'm having a blast with it . Welcome to the world of Carrera Digital . I hope you enjoy it as much as I do .

I've got similar with a 20 X 7 table, over 150 feet of tracks and so far I have 28 1/32 cars, 25 of them are Carrera Digital; I also have 3 1/24 Carrera cars, just for a trial, and I do like them on my Carrera 2 lane track. Today I'm running a sort of a large oval 20 X 7 with banked curves on both ends and an infield road circuit that you can use; I use it for the pit lane when running a 50 lap race with friends and for sure it gets used after 35 laps or so...

One thing I would like to add..I'm not the best ,fastest,racer..As some of my friends know... :D
This is a hobby to me that is all about the fun.Fun,we have enough stuff in our life that isn't..
This digital is a great equalizer..Fun ,and you might even come in second as Harry likes to say :D
Heck you might even wear out some of those good racers... :auto-driving:

I always enjoy reading your posts. Something special about getting a new race set and trying it out for the first time. Congratulations on your new Carrera Digital 132 race set. I agree with your assessment about digital, it's not always the fastest car that wins the race since you have to deal with passing other cars on the track and also fuel strategy if using the pit lane.

We got to race a few laps this afternoon with the Bibbster..
Fun,especially after you add in the pit and fueling..Forgot how fun it is to bump the other guy out of the pit toooooooooo..

Just received 2 more Carrera Digital 132 cars, my second DTM car, the yellow AMG Mercedes #19 and a beautyfull black Corvette C6 R #8; anxious to try them out later...
