Removing white stripes from Artin track

I used a Testors Flat black paint marker with really good results. If done carefully, the paint over the white stripes is hardly noticeable and in my opinion looks much better than the white stripes.

I am thinking about a good can of flat black spray paint but I am kind of afraid of how it will affect the traction & whether it might start to "rub off" on the tires.

I painted some spécific track which the one has Arrow like detecting track and my sensor track custom made, i sand it a little with 600 grit not to much, than i applied a few light coat of paint, and did not affect anything...
if you with to see the result you can go section for sale -- Artin large layout -- you can see the result on a few tracks,
i did the same thing on most of the borders/aprons

I'd probbaly stick to flat black, as it helps hide the seams & joints a bit better IMO.

No doubt! I didnt know how true that was till i did a "dirt" track.
either way,you will be happy with the results,and traction is not a problem with a painted track,if anything mine is a little better.
