I've had the chance to run on this track. There was a lot of thought put into each corner and the elevation changes. It is not an easy drive but has a real flow to it. Its only going to get better as the scenery gets more detailed. I have to remember to brake before the corner at the elevated short straight. The red and white walls are hypnotic as you drive by them. They give the racing a realistic scale feel. This could be one of those tracks we talk about long after James moves on to the new one - as is his habit!

Nice looking track JESIV! My track is in my basement/garage, a space with the same footprint as the main living area of my house. The basement is below ground level on two sides and exposed to air on the other two sides. (My house is on a hillside). When I bought it it had an uninsulated, single sheet metal garage door and the space would get cold in winter and hot in summer. I replaced the garage door with an insulated vinyl door and that one change alone made a HUGE difference in the temperature gradient. Now, it stays relatively cool in summer and comfortable in winter. On very cold days I warm the space with one of those oil filled heaters that David mentioned. If I run the heater for about an hour I can spend all evening in the basement comfortably. And because the space is below the main living area it also helps with my heating and cooling expenses for the rest of the house. It was money well spent.

Goose - it has been a lot of work but I enjoy it so it makes it easy. There has been many occasions where I go out to work a few minutes and wrap up a few hours later. It's time well spent IMO. It is funny you say that though, b/c I was thinking it was taking too long, lol. I guess that's my impatience acting up. :text-thankyouyellow:

Steve - Thanks for the info, I think I'll try one of those heaters for Jan/Feb/ and early March. Although I have to say with my hodgepodge "insulation" on the garage door and the WallyMart quartz heater I was able to get the garage 40 degrees warmer than the outside temp (25 out 65 in). I do think that was about the limits of that heater though. We'll see how it does on the sub zero days. I'm thinking the oil filled to break the chill and perhaps the quartz to keep it comfortable the few hours I'd be out there.

Vonsirius - I'm going to google the 1:1 circuit calendar, maybe I can run a couple of 'shadow' events on my track to coincide with what's going on over there.

Thanks Richard. I have to say I feel the same way… The more I look at it, and put laps on it, the more I enjoy it. This space previously housed two tracks that weren't quite up to snuff, so I decided to take them both down and go with one track that I could do 'right'. Frankly, I was nervous about the decision initially. However, now it was definitely the correct call and I couldn't be happier with it. As with most scenery tracks, I suspect it will never be 'done' but that is a large part of the joy for me.
