If I purchase new braid, does it still come with the normal customer service?

It looks like your track has seen better days.

Well, did not realize The Show-Me looked that bad Mr. Bubba :)
What happened?
A low quality water line.
I walked out of the Skunkworks for about 3 minutes. Came back heard water dripping. Looked around and noticed "Lake Show-Me". Luckily there is no shortage of Shop Vacs here. Closed the line off and started the vac. In a couple minutes I had all off.
The track is not really showing much effect. YET. 3 days of fans drying and found a couple little spots that needed some sanding.
It has been covered with paint well enough, as well as countless laps. The top part seems ok for now...it's the bottom. Unpainted/protected. As the days went on I noticed a touch of warping. Installed a few more screws. But when it swells, it's a losing battle.
The taped braid impressed me. Still holding well. Anyone who thinks this adhesive-backed braid isn't good enough, think again.
So it appears a "repaving" project is planned. Still the same oval, will have the same fun. Nothing I ever wanted to do, trust me. But stuff happens.
Looking at the loss such as Clem did with his entire shop and collection, the damage I have is more like a "speed bump". :violin:
So time to plan and build a new one.

I might have misinterpreted your first picture. I was thinking that you had a couple of people on top of your track doing some rebuilding but am now guessing that the picture is when you were first building it. Either way, sorry you had the water leak.

I remember that post. It was entertaining and educational, too.

I remember it was nice and quiet with the two of them out of town.
I wonder if they'd both fit in a USPS flat rate shipping box...

Well Boss it sure is a shame. It's not the loss of the track and materials. It's the loss of the rubbered up surface and the legend of the drivers, laps, and good times that have been run on it. While a new track will never be the same I'm sure in some way it will be better from lessons learned along the way.
I know that you know it, but I will do whatever I can to help. Let me know what you need.
Lake Show Me.... Nice spin. Perhaps a recessed dish pan in the new track for the lake????? Well maybe not. It would be a bad place for a car wash.
Keep us up to date on what is going on and what we can do on this end.

Appreciate it, and all the folks that offered to assist. Can't say enough good things. The folks at SCC are really going over the top, and I suspect others have had a hand in it. I'll get even in time :)
It's going to be a fun project. The only change will be to 4 inch spacing.
It appears the project is moving faster than I anticipated, meaning I'll be busy around here :)

Man, I'd always known those SCC guys had good service, but I'd forgotten how over the top this effort was.
Looking forward to the new track even though it is tough losing the old one. Just think of the things we will have to do to break this one in ;)
