The HRW NASCAR cars did not disappoint in their second running here in Ohio!
This week's run was performed on the 69-foot, 8-lane oval at Mark's Model World.

Qualifying was performed based on finishing order of the prior trace with Bibbster's #73 rolling onto the track first.

Qualifying was performed in Yellow and Green lanes with the average taken to determine starting position.
There were definitely some cars that really shined being wound up and zipping around the banking!
Here is the break down of qualifying order...

As can be noted, there are some cars that qualified similar to how they had on the road course - but there were also some notable changes!
Cars staged in qualifying order - getting ready to race!

Race results, impressions and pics to follow later today! :)

Thanks for posting the results and the pics, Todd.
Congratulations to Rob, Keith and Steve on their podium finishes!
Loved the qualifying results; can't say quite the same thing for the race results, but at least I know what to add to my car when I get it back at the end of this proxy (weight in the front)!

Allan -
The banking definitely helped with the powering out of the slot. But with the power your car has, combined with how well the rear tires hook - it kept the front end dancing out of the corners, and if you were just a touch to quick on the throttle it would dance right up and out of the slot!

Woohoo! The turtle comes through and ends up on the second step of the podium. I think Junior must have been sandbagging in qualifying, eh?
Great job guys, any more tracks like this on the schedule, I like it!

LOL - yeah I think I could see a smile on the driver's face as he would rocket through the banking with unyielding consistency lap after lap!
(It was the only car to not have a single deslot!)
On the tracks - I will have to check with ShotgunDave to see if there have been any other tracks added to the mix or if they are headed to the final race at his place next.

Todd,
Thanks for the pics and report. Wonder what happened with that wheel????? 2nd fastest car but you have to stay in the slot to win.
The blue lane seems to have been my downfall. Re-read that was when the wheel walked off. I wonder whats causing the chatter with the #17. You are not the only one to mention chatter with this car. The tires on it are from when it ran in the Forums/DaVols Cup maybe 3 or 4 yrs ago. That might be the issue. Baby needs new shoes. Yeah just checked it was first run in the DaVols Cup in 2011. New shoes, new shoes.
Thanks again for you sharp reporting, analysis and pictures.
Congratulations to the podium finishers.
"Edit"
The #17 is in second place overall with its 6th place finish not bad. The #9 qualifies in the top 5 at most tracks but has finished with 2 6th and 1 7th place finish. Proxy cars have to be drivable at multiple locations. This is the first time I didn't put as much weight in them as I had for the DaVols Cup which may have been my downfall.

I am still up for running them, but afterwards they should be sent back to one person in the US as your postage is much cheaper and faster than ours. Strangely, we can send a parcel to to US cheaper than to Canada. So before I agree, we need a return address. Whose holding the registration fees for this thing, that would be the best person to return to, then they could send them out to the owners, eh?
We actually have a couple good tracks for Nascars, and besides Luf's Targa, I could see if Perry would let us run on his Rocket. It doesn't have a counting set-up, so we would just run a series of twelve crash and burn heats with three cars on track at once. In the end we would still have a score for each car in order of finish. We don't have an oval, yet, but those would give us two more races.
Let me know,
Keith
