IPS Round seven on the Anaconda...munter hosts a round

The cars arrived this morning so I promptly prepared the track and set about qualifying.
The cars were taken from the boxes in a random order and tires were cleaned. No car suffered from loss of grip.
The race of six minutes per car will take place over the next few days but here are the results, some pictures and comments from qualifying.

#12 Aston Martin Zagato, Mike Newns, smooth, strong brakes, 7.372
#23 Chaparral 1, Aqua Kiwi, the motor spun when power was applied but then away it went?? 6.867
#13 Bristol, Mike Newns, Smooth but tippy, I liked it 7.195
#17 Mercedes Benz 230, Torini, Smooth but tippy 7.277
#82 Jaguar E type lightweight, Gas4it, smooth but tippy, 7.207
#1 Cobra, AIG, handled great, 6.668
#6 Alfa RomeoTZ, Baldie man, fast, smooth, planted, 6.128
#2 Maserati 151, Audi 1, smooth, front end works well, 6.627

Hi John, Thanks for running the qualification and for the comments on the cars. Your track looks challenging with some pretty tight corners.

Let's see how it does in the race. But, after the series is over we can talk; I know there are some resin bodies that I need for future proxies....................... ;) Just thinking............... :think:

The day was a cold day of 13c and as I am at home for this week I thought I would run the cars through their
six minutes of glory...for some it was and for others ????

The #23 Chaparral screen shows 48 laps instead of 47, my arm brush through the beam at the photo shoot, sorry Aquakiwi.
Audi 1's tires went off big time on his Alfa TZ and so did the winning Cheetahs.

The cars will be packed and sent off to the next venue....somewhere in Auckland.
