As noted in Arroldn's post - the car's have arrived safe and sound here in Ohio!

In a nice little twist, I was able to get the field up to the track last night for some shake down and qualifying! :D

Based on what I saw in shake down, qualifying was run on three of the 8 lanes. I utilized the purple #2 lane (one away from the very inside lane), blue #4 lane and white #7 lane (one away from the very outside lane). Each car was run 30 laps per lane with the fastest lap being recorded and used for the qualifying calculation.
I will be working to compile the qualifying data, impressions, etc shortly - but in the mean time, thought I would share a couple pictures of the field staged to start the fun!
To say that these are some fun running cars would be an understatement!

todds stop and then they come back to mn for their last stop and they then go home

Here is the qualifying info summary - I will be putting together a table of the overall weights / balances / etc this weekend as well to go with the data below.

Wow another top three Q for me. This was a new chassis design from Gameover's Garage. Appears to be doing great!!

Thanks for the comments. Now to figure out if it just needs a motor change or also some chassis work?

Looking at the pictures of Todd's cars I may need to add a little brass up front to keep the nose planted.

I think with a bit more forward bias on the weight, the wheelieing issue would be gone. :)

Here is the chart with the overall weights and front / rear bias numbers for the full field - it's an interesting mix!

Thanks for the comments. I had based my weight on 40/60 as I had seen in many discussions on weight bias. Similar to Gameover's car I see. But formulas don't always translate into real world results. More weight up front please. :think:

The high body isn't helping I think. :)
