And i cannot find an explanation since it was not like that on shakedown and they were not on the same tires (21&27 Ninco,170&25 NSR ) while other cars on the same brands had lots of grip (#18 NSR #30 Ninco). It crossed my mind though i could be the interaction between different brands of tires, when i get the results i will make some research.
Anyhow one of the entrants is shod the possible 2019 control tires and if it performs well, and in this race it did, that will be the end of the tire wars in this proxy.

Nick, thank you and your team for getting the most out of the 3 and the 33. Congratulations to Pslacker and Neo on the podium.

That’s the urethane dust that our NSR tyres are not copping with I’m thinking????

No need to trim at all,you file the rims flat removing the "boss" then you slice an NSR truck tire in 2 and you get 2 7mm tires, thats what my car has

Awesome reporting the results lane by lane and great to see the video too.
Wow, some real close numbers, how close can it get?
Tyres........
#54 GTO and #98 King Cobra are running MRRC rubber tyres, the same tyres that come in the clubman kits, they are a tad wider than 7mm so a little trimming is required but not much at all.
These tyres are as grippy as NSR super grips and don't split when glued with plain '2 dollar shop' super glue.
Just perfect for this class of car.
The would make a great controlled tyre if rubber is chosen to be the way to go.
Does the controlled tyre need to be 7mm wide? If every one has the same tyre it could be a bit wider making rim choice much easier, may also help with low grip tracks too, just a thought.
All the best to every one for race 2.
