Qualifying just wrapped up, here is a brief summary of the results:
[Position - # of laps - fast lap - number of offs - Car # Driver]
1 - 12.5 laps - 9.421 - 0 - #4 TuscoTodd
2 - 12.3 laps - 9.572 - 0 - #6 NHdungeon
3 - 12.3 laps - 9.576 - 0 - #1 Fumey (less than a car length behind 2nd!)
4 - 11.7 laps - 10.000 - 0 - #10 Sadco Racing
5 - 11.5 laps - 10.202 - 0 - #12 Shotgun Dave
6 - 11.5 laps - 10.236 - 0 - #7 TurboKev
7 - 11.3 laps - 9.907 - 1 - #5 Bibbster
8 - 11.3 laps - 9.834 - 1 #3 JESIV
9 - 10.2 laps - 9.791 - 2 #8 StudioRS
Cars qualified in lane #2. I was the sole driver. Q order was reverse race number (12, 10, 8, etc)
Qualifying is complete... Dad is in house and the racing will start here in about 5 minutes. We will run our standard rules with the exception being that I will run lane 1 for all cars, my Dad will run lane 2. Offs will handled by the offending driver. There is a 3.5 second delay as penalty for off (track stays hot so the other driver proceeds. The exceptions are when there is a 'Rider' the other driver will stop so as hot to 'throw' the other car. Also, if the lane is completely blocked the other driver stops (we do not play crash up derby). The 10 second rule is in effect (when the trackmate announces '10 seconds left', no track calls are permitted).
I will update this thread with the race results. And then of course more pictures (and maybe even a video) will follow.

And I have to say "WOW!" JESIV!
I didn't expect to see a full blown summary already this morning - this is awesome! :D
You definitely can't tell that this was your first time hosting!
Between all the great pictures, and the detailed feedback both with strengths and weaknesses of the cars at your track, you'd never know this was your first rodeo!
I hope you had fun with the field and will consider hosting again in the very near future! :D
Thanks again!!!

To all of the ''73 RSR IROC proxy car builders,
Congratulations to all of you. Driving your cars was simply awesome. I really enjoyed every one of them. They ran and looked awesome on my son's track. I hate to see them go because I could sure do that again ! Thanks to my son for allowing me to participate.
I will enter a car next time !
I hope to post a video of the qualifying and race very soon.

I noticed that the father and son team were both able to extract the best out of all the RSRs. Just looking over the times on the Aubergine Nr.8 RSR, it pulled the fasted lap times on lane 1 in round 1 and round 2, totally awesome. I'll need to sort out the handling issues to limit the offs. Thank you again for hosting this race, well done!
Cheers, Thompson

Thanks for the race and the top notch reporting~!
This series was so fun to watch come together and finish up.. From the early stages of conception, to
the body mods by Dave to get the casting right, to the little laser cut wood additions by Thompson
to get the lower front valance, the great pictures from the different venues.. what a great time.
Last place or not, I had fun participating, building, hosting and watching.. A great proxy by any measure.
:text-bravo:
I say we wrap it up and send the cars home.. I know I for one would like to tinker with mine and get it
running a bit better so I can enjoy it here on my own track~
Thanks again!

James and Dad, thank you for hosting this last race, perfect, all of this series was just perfect for my re-intro into slot racing. Very fun!
I will look through all the photos and design a poster for all of us.
FYI, I can't leave anything alone and asked Dave to send me another RSR body. My plan is to update the casting to the 1974 later version RSR with wider front/rear flares with vents and wider tail. These ran the center lock black 917 style wheels. We will make another mold (and series?) the liveries are more unique, varied and should be fun. I want to design all the decal sets for all the different sponsored liveries. Orange Jaegermeister, red and tan Toberlone, green George Loos Racing, etc... Stay tuned.
Cheers, Thompson
