LOL. Well I got your attention! Seriously, I finally received the tire molds I had been waiting on. They are/were Formerly the Shotgunz tires offered by Dave, and available through SCC. I need to get some practice in making these, but it shouldn't take long to get the hang of it. I hope to be able to keep the stock available to everyone, as they are some sweet tires for period builds, in both scales. huge selection to say the least,as well as production replacement tires for various car. I will post my progress as I get going on these. hope I can keep that void filled.

Bob,
Do you have a list of the tires available (soon)? It would be great to know the Model type and the tire size.
I just can't get the hang of making a good tire.
Stay at it.

Hey Bob.. making your own tires is a lot fun !! ..... a few tricks I have learned.....for low profile tires , stick a little wedge in the mold to give u a bigger target to pour into.. Pour slowly to try to avoid air pockets.. and I now pour tires and molds on wash day I put the fresh pours on the washing machine and it acts as a vibrator to help get out any bubbles and air pockets...
I think you will find its a lot of fun , ...and quite a bit cheaper in the long run.... oh yea it can also be pretty messy to !!

Thanks for the tips John. I have made tires before, but backef off to let Dave get his tire business going. I use a turkey injector to get the urethane in the molds, and will be using my vac chamber for air pockets. I hope to produce a quality tire for the obscure scratchbuilt stuff. I should be up and running very soon. I will be adding some hard to find tires to the list as well, as i build some funky stuff sometimes!

That's our Bob Taylor. He makes everything seem easy to us mortals who would never have thought of his solutions.

I use a small 5ml disposable syringe to inject the urethane into the moulds.

Bob,
How is the tire manufacturing coming? I am about to recap the majority of my Artin tires.
Next to rewinding the motors recapping is my biggest job. As they die I try CPR.
Send out a list of the tires you can duplicate.
You are the MAN, Dude.
